Welcome to the Emotionally Focused Therapy community in the Canary Islands!
This Canary Islands community for Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) by Sue Johnson, was born from the desire to bring together professionals who want to train and those already officially trained in this therapy model, offering them a safe place to learn, discover, enrich, and share.
It is also dedicated to informing individuals, couples, or families who are looking for a psychologist and/or psychotherapist with official training, to help them find a way to reconnect and overcome their difficulties. All therapists on this page are therapists in training, officially trained, and/or registered with the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT).
Research consistently shows that emotional bonds and secure attachment are a fundamental part of psycho-emotional and physical well-being. EFT is especially effective in establishing and restoring supportive bonds between individuals, couples, and families.
Accept this invitation to grow professionally, feeling supported along the way, both in your training and in your clinical practice, and join this ‘Canary Islands’ family that is part of the large global family united by ICEEFT, where we are already more than 9000 members.
Declaration and commitment to diversity
Whatever your age, race, faith, gender identity, sexual orientation, class, ability, language, or cultural background, you are welcome here.

See the mission statement of ICEEFT
ICEEFT serves as a center of excellence for the promotion of secure and resilient individuals and successful relationships between partners and within families. Our mission includes further expansion and refinement of the Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) model through process and outcome research.
Another central aspect of our mission is to educate health professionals and increase public awareness of the effectiveness of EFT and its role in strengthening relational bonds and mental health.
